My own team spent six more seasons on site B, searching for more stake-and post-holes, trying to sort out what appeared to be a Bronze Age ‘farmyard’. At the end of each season we realised that we had not reached the edge of the site; we extended to the east, north and finally west, in the hope of finding more stake-holes that would help us to make sense of those discovered during the previous season. I was also hoping to get a large enough number of holes, covering a reasonably extensive area, to try to work out what wooden structures were present on the site.
